What does this answer mean?
The American Revolution had many important events, and you only need to name one. USCIS accepts six: the Battle of Bunker Hill, the Declaration of Independence, Washington crossing the Delaware (Battle of Trenton), the Battle of Saratoga, Valley Forge (the encampment), or the Battle of Yorktown (the British surrender at Yorktown).
Here they are in order. The Battle of Bunker Hill was fought near Boston on June 17, 1775; most of the fighting took place on nearby Breed's Hill. The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776. Washington's crossing of the Delaware River led to the Battle of Trenton. At Saratoga in 1777, British General John Burgoyne surrendered his entire army. The Continental Army spent the hard winter of 1777 to 1778 at Valley Forge in Pennsylvania. And at Yorktown, Virginia, on October 19, 1781, the British surrender to American and French forces effectively ended the fighting.
At the interview, an easy answer is "the Declaration of Independence," which you already know from other questions.
Memory tip
Start at Bunker Hill, end at Yorktown.
