What does this answer mean?

Benjamin Franklin is famous for many things, and you only need to name one. USCIS accepts five: he founded the first free public libraries, was the first Postmaster General of the United States, helped write the Declaration of Independence, was an inventor, and was a U.S. diplomat.

Franklin lived in Philadelphia and had a remarkably wide career. In 1775, the Continental Congress appointed him the first Postmaster General, in charge of carrying mail between the colonies.

In 1776, Franklin was one of the five members of the committee that drafted the Declaration of Independence, and he suggested changes to Jefferson's draft. He later served as a diplomat in France, representing the United States during the Revolution, and he helped with the peace treaty that ended the war.

At the interview, an easy answer is "inventor" or "helped write the Declaration of Independence."
